Alice and Olivia

Alice and Olivia is another label I love, and rarely do I find myself loving a label. At most I like just one or two things, maybe three (what can I say, I’m just a particular person), but with A+O I love most everything Stacey Bendet designs. A newcomer to the fashion industry, the brand started up in 2002 and is already being picked up by stores around in the world and being worn by A-list celebs. It’s the kind of success every budding designer dreams of.

My first A+O purchase was a black sequined miniskirt. The design was simple, the sequins were tiny and shiny, and the effect was showstopping. It was amazing how a short length of fabric with thousands of little glinting circles could attract so much attention. I’m sure it’s from that experience that I now am attracted to other fantastic and shiny things. Anything with sequins, beading or even feathers are items that I find myself lusting after. Here is a peek at some of the items by A+O that turn me gloss-eyed.
